A rainy getaway, pending 24 hours of very little sleep and lots of layers… Motor racing was never a sport I dreamt I’d be supporting, but with each win, I’m drawn further and further into the competition (and competitive spirit). 
Playing the role of supportive girlfriend, I’ve been to a couple of the Blancpain GT races over the last year, with a particular highlight being this year’s Dubai 24 hour endurance race back in January, which he won with his local team Dragon Racing!
Heading straight for the Spa Francorchamps circuit after landing in Dusseldorf, we arrived in time to watch the night qualifying. Jordan was racing for Olivia Boutsen and the Boutsen Ginion team, along with co-drivers Karim Ojjeh, Olivier Grotz and Ralph Oeverhaus. A fantastic set up and even better vantage point from the pits, the team were all set to take on the other 50 or so Pro and Pro-Am teams in the race. 
Unfortunately, just into the first hour of racing, disaster struck and the team were no longer able to compete… The driver Karim was ok though!!! 
True to form, I was once again a proud girlfriend as he rallied team spirit, even in the wake of this disaster… he really hasn’t got a negative bone in his body. Looking forward to next season’s 24 hours global endurance races and expect to see much more pit-side pictures coming up in future 🙂
